Child Welfare Services provides services to children who have been abused, neglected or who are at risk of being abused or neglected. Our focus is child safety and well-being, strengthening families and providing permanency.

Our services include:

  • Screening and investigating reports of abuse, neglect, or harm
  • Assessing safety and risk
  • Providing families with referrals to community resources
  • Providing supportive services to children and families in their homes
  • Providing out of home placement and permanency planning when necessary
  • Providing services to help foster care youth transition to adulthood

Our goal is to keep children safely in their home with their parents or guardians. When safety in the home is not possible, we arrange for children to stay with resource parents, including relatives, and non-related extended family members.
